Two minor sisters missing in Lahore as abduction cases raise alarm

Published on: November 15, 2025 9:50 AM

LAHORE: Police have yet to trace two minor sisters, students of Class VI, who were allegedly abducted while on their way to school in the Manga Mandi area, raising serious concerns over the safety of school-going children. The girls, identified only as ‘N’ and ‘A’, went missing on Thursday, and despite 24 hours passing, authorities have not located them.

The parents criticized the Lahore police for failing to recover their daughters and accused the force of not prioritizing the matter, highlighting lapses in Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) cameras in the area. They also questioned Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s assurances that streets and roads in Lahore are safe for women and girls.

According to the parents, private security footage captured the girls walking in their school uniforms before they mysteriously vanished. They urged the chief minister to ensure that police utilize all available resources to locate the missing children.

The abduction comes amid another alarming incident in Lahore, where a 22-year-old woman, identified as ‘K’, was kidnapped from Shadbagh three weeks ago and later found unconscious in Eminabad, Gujranwala. Investigations suggest she was injected with strong tranquilizers and abandoned on a deserted road.

Operations DIG confirmed that a case has been registered against unknown kidnappers and police are actively investigating both incidents. Authorities have vowed to uncover the facts and ensure justice for the victims.
