An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Monday adjourned hearings of the cases against PTI Leaders and activists related to the November 26, Azadi March and other protests.
All the cases were heard by Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Tahir Abbas Sapra. Six accused appeared in the court in the case registered at Sangjani police station during the Azadi March, including Ali Nawaz Awan, Wasiq Qayyum Abbasi and others.
Due to the unavailability of the PTI founder, the court adjourned the case till December 1, after a brief hearing. Similarly, in the case of the protest held in Faizabad after the disqualification of the PTI founder, Faisal Javed Khan, Aamir Kayani and other accused appeared in the court. During the hearing, the defense lawyers completed the cross-examination of two prosecution witnesses, after which the court summoned more witnesses and adjourned the hearing till December 2.
During the hearing of the case registered at Aabpara police station over the November 26 protest, arrest warrants were issued for absent workers, while adjournment proceedings were initiated against PTI worker Abu Bakar. The court provided copies of the challans to the accused who appeared and adjourned the hearing of the case till December 1.
