
ABBOTTABAD – A 16-year-old girl lost her life after falling from a swing ride in Abbottabad’s Harnu area on Sunday, prompting police action against those responsible for the amusement facility’s safety.
According to details, the deceased, identified as Iman Liaqat, a tenth-grade student, was visiting Harnu with three friends when the tragic incident occurred. Police said Iman was standing on a fast-moving single-seat swing when she lost her balance and fell to the ground, sustaining fatal injuries.

One suspect associated with the ride’s management has been arrested, while the victim’s three friends have been taken in for questioning. Officials reported that the friends fled the scene after the accident.
Additional Assistant Commissioner Shamim Ullah visited the site and directed strict action against the management for negligence. Authorities have stressed the need for implementing proper safety measures at recreational spots to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
