Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has issued a strong warning to the Afghan Taliban after talks between Pakistan and Afghanistan failed. He said Pakistan will no longer tolerate the Taliban’s deceit and hostile actions. According to him, Pakistan entered the negotiations for peace at the request of friendly countries. However, the Afghan officials’ harsh statements exposed their bad intentions. He stressed that the Taliban’s behavior shows they are not serious about peace or stability.
The minister said the Taliban government is once again pushing Afghanistan toward destruction. He warned that Pakistan has the power to repeat the Tora Bora defeat if needed. He added that Pakistan does not even need to use its full strength to respond. According to him, if the Taliban want to fight, the world will witness everything. He also said Pakistan can drive them back into the caves just like before.

Khawaja Asif criticized the Taliban for trying to protect their “illegitimate rule” through war and bloodshed. He said their war economy depends on violence and instability. Despite knowing their weaknesses, they continue to raise war slogans. He warned that if the Taliban regime wants to destroy Afghanistan, then they will bear the consequences. The minister emphasized that Pakistan has shown patience for a long time but will not remain silent anymore.
Furthermore, he said Afghanistan has always suffered because of power struggles and foreign interference. The Taliban’s war-loving elements have misjudged Pakistan’s strength and resolve. He stated that their threats are just a show, not reality. Khawaja Asif made it clear that Pakistan will no longer tolerate terrorist or suicide attacks. He promised that any aggression or misadventure would meet a firm and painful response.
