
ISLAMABAD – The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has set November 4, 2025, for a hearing on a petition seeking to block the X (formerly Twitter) account of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan.
The petition, filed by concerned citizen Ghulam Murtaza through lawyer Barrister Zafarullah, requests the removal of allegedly illegal and malicious tweets from Khan’s account. It also seeks to halt the dissemination of posts claimed to incite unrest and division.

Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir will preside over the case, and notices have been issued to Imran Khan, the National Cyber Crime Agency, the superintendent of the jail, and other relevant parties, requiring their responses.
The case highlights ongoing scrutiny of social media activity by political figures in Pakistan, reflecting concerns about content that may impact public order.
