NCCIA to re-question Imran Khan over active X account from jail

Published on: October 1, 2025 3:26 PM

The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) will re-question Imran Khan regarding his active X account. Despite his confinement in Adiala Jail, the interrogation will be based on his written responses. Earlier, the agency had sent Khan a detailed 21-point questionnaire. The goal is to understand how his social media account remains active from behind bars.

The NCCIA wants to know who operates Imran Khan’s X account and from where. They also seek confirmation if Khan approves the posts published under his name. Another key focus is whether controversial or anti-national posts are made with his consent. These questions aim to clarify the account’s management during his imprisonment.

Previously, NCCIA investigators met Khan twice inside the jail. Both sessions reportedly ended without his cooperation. During the second meeting, a heated exchange occurred, further complicating the investigation. Due to this, the agency chose to seek formal written answers.

The investigation reflects rising concerns over the use of social media by political figures under legal scrutiny. Authorities want to ensure accountability for online activities linked to imprisoned leaders. The written responses will help NCCIA move forward despite limited direct interaction.

In summary, NCCIA continues its probe into Imran Khan’s X account activity. The agency aims to uncover how it operates and whether Khan controls its content. The inquiry remains crucial as social media influence intersects with national security concerns.
