The Crime Control Department (CCD) raided the Lahore home of Aqeel, known as Goggi Butt, on Friday. However, police did not arrest anyone during the search. Authorities said Goggi Butt was not at home and is currently in hiding. They expect to catch him soon with the help of mobile tracking and other technology.
Goggi Butt is a prime suspect in the murder case of Amir Balaj. He remains on interim bail but faces arrest in other cases. The raid was linked to a separate investigation, not the main murder case. Meanwhile, the CCD confirmed that Khawaja Tarif Gulshan, aka Teefi Butt, a top accused, was killed during a police encounter.

Recently, the court extended Goggi Butt’s bail until October 13. He had applied for bail fearing arrest related to the murder case. The judge instructed lawyers to complete their arguments in the next hearing. This shows the court is preparing for a detailed trial.
CCD revealed that police teams from Rahim Yar Khan and local areas are searching for other suspects. These suspects attacked police officers and were involved in the killing of Tayfi Butt. Two police officials were injured during the incident. Police promised to share more details once investigations progress.
