After years of speculation, South Indian stars Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda are officially engaged, marking one of the most awaited unions in the Indian film industry.
According to a statement confirmed by Deverakonda’s team to an Indian publication on Saturday, the Telugu heartthrob, 36, and his longtime girlfriend Rashmika Mandanna, 29, have exchanged rings and are set to tie the knot in February 2026.
While the couple has yet to share photos or make a public announcement, insiders have verified the engagement. No additional details regarding the ceremony or location have been disclosed.

Rashmika, who was previously engaged to actor-filmmaker Rakshit Shetty, ended that engagement in 2018 due to compatibility issues. She first met Vijay Deverakonda the same year while working together on the hit romantic comedy “Geetha Govindam”, followed by their second collaboration in “Dear Comrade” (2019) — a film that further fueled rumours of their off-screen chemistry.
Since then, the duo has often been seen together on private trips and public appearances, though they consistently avoided confirming their relationship. Last year, both actors hinted that they were “not single,” without revealing names — a statement that now seems to have come full circle.
Fans across India are celebrating the long-anticipated announcement, calling it the “perfect reel-to-real love story” of South Indian cinema.
