
LAHORE — Renowned Pakistani actress and producer Ayesha Omar has candidly shared that stepping into the showbiz industry at a young age exposed her to several challenges, including instances where people tried to cross personal boundaries.
Appearing recently on a comedy talk show, the Bulbulay star opened up about the difficulties she faced early in her career. She revealed that entering the entertainment industry as a young girl was a tough phase of her life, as many people failed to take her seriously due to her youthful and carefree appearance.

Ayesha said that during those years, some men attempted to overstep boundaries, forcing her to adopt a firm and assertive attitude to protect herself and command respect. “I had to appear strong so that no one would mistake my kindness or youth for weakness,” she explained.
She added that the need to project strength became even more critical when she moved from Lahore to Karachi and began living independently. “When you’re a single girl living alone, people often consider you vulnerable — so I had to become even tougher,” she noted.
The actress also reflected on some of her professional regrets, admitting that she took part in a few award shows earlier in her career for which she still hasn’t been fully paid.
