Pakistan has voiced strong support for global initiatives aimed at ending the Pakistan Russia-Ukraine war conflict. Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs, Syed Tariq Fatemi, told the UN Security Council that no dispute can be solved by force. He stressed that the war, now lasting more than three and a half years, has claimed countless innocent lives. Fatemi said Pakistan has backed Security Council resolutions and will continue supporting genuine moves toward peace.
He warned that the fighting has created a serious humanitarian crisis. The war is disrupting food and energy supplies worldwide, causing shortages and driving inflation higher. Fatemi explained that the longer the conflict continues, the greater the burden will be on ordinary people. He urged both Moscow and Kyiv to show patience and tolerance instead of relying on military power.
Fatemi further said Pakistan stands ready to assist any international effort that leads to a negotiated solution. He noted that global unity is essential for progress. Without cooperation, the humanitarian crisis will deepen, and peace will remain out of reach. Pakistan’s message at the UN reinforced its belief in dialogue over confrontation.
The UN Secretary-General also cautioned members not to lose fragile diplomatic momentum between Russia, Ukraine, and mediators. He stressed the importance of building solutions under international law. The Security Council session included parallel discussions on Gaza, where the UN chief warned against any form of ethnic cleansing.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump expressed support for Ukraine in a sudden rhetorical shift. He said Kyiv could reclaim occupied land because Russia faces major economic problems. His comments added a new dimension to the debate over how to end the Pakistan Russia-Ukraine war conflict peacefully.
