Pakistan calls in sports psychologist ahead of India clash

Published on: September 20, 2025 4:42 PM

Pakistan has hired a sports psychologist to boost team performance before their big match against India. The match will take place on September 21 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium during the Asia Cup. According to PCB sources, Dr. Raheel has joined the team as the sports psychologist.

Before the match, Pakistan held an important team meeting in Dubai where players openly admitted batting struggles. They assured management of their commitment to perform well in the Super Four stage. Head coach Mike Hesson expressed full confidence in the players.

This psychological support aims to help Pakistan tackle pressure and improve focus in the crucial match against their longtime rivals, India. The team is preparing intensively and aiming to reverse their fortunes after the previous loss.

The addition of a sports psychologist highlights Pakistan’s serious approach to mental fitness in international cricket. Experts believe mental strength can be as important as physical skill in high-pressure games.
