
Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have agreed to work closely on creating a cashless economy. Both countries aim to share knowledge, technical help, and experience. This move is part of efforts to speed up digital transformation in finance and governance.
The decision came after a high-level meeting between the two countries. Pakistan was represented by Bilal Azhar Kayani, Minister of State for Finance. The UAE team was led by Mohammed bin Hadi Al Husseini, also Minister of State. They discussed ways to improve digital payments and modern financial systems.
UAE officials shared details of their digital payments system. They explained how their system has improved financial access and efficiency. Pakistani leaders appreciated the insights. They said such learning will support Pakistan’s digital shift.
The Pakistani side highlighted Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s vision. His government is pushing for a cashless economy and better digital governance. Both countries agreed to continue technical-level talks and expand cooperation in digital finance and innovation.
Minister Kayani thanked the UAE for its support. He said Pakistan values this partnership and hopes to strengthen it. Future efforts will focus on finance, governance, and technology to help both countries grow faster in the digital world.
