Disney has officially confirmed that Ice Age: Boiling Point will hit cinemas on February 5, 2027, marking the long-awaited return of the beloved prehistoric franchise after more than a decade.
Originally planned for December 2026, the release date was shifted forward since Disney is also preparing to launch Avengers: Doomsday in the same month, avoiding a direct box office clash.
The announcement was made at the Destination D23 event in Orlando, where Disney revealed that the new film will be a dinosaur-and-lava-filled adventure set in the treacherous Lost World.
The plot will bring back familiar characters Manny, Sid, Diego, Ellie, and Scrat as they explore dangerous new lands filled with surprises, creating fresh challenges for the beloved herd’s survival.
Excitement among fans is extremely high, especially since the last Ice Age movie, Collision Course, was released 11 years ago, leaving audiences eager to revisit the iconic prehistoric universe.
The Ice Age franchise, consisting of five films so far, has already earned over $3.2 billion globally, making Boiling Point one of Disney’s most anticipated animated releases in recent years.
