Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 series is expected to launch in September, and new leaks have revealed the expected pricing for all four models. While Apple hasn’t officially confirmed the launch date, reports suggest the event will be held on either September 9 or 10.
According to the latest leak, the entry-level iPhone 17 will start at $799, the same as the iPhone 16 — meaning no price change for the base model. However, the other three models will be more expensive than their predecessors.
The iPhone 17 Pro is expected to start at $1,049, up from $999 for the iPhone 16 Pro. The iPhone 17 Pro Max may be priced at $1,249, a $50 hike compared to last year. A new addition to the lineup, the iPhone 17 Air, is set to replace the 16 Plus, starting at $949 — again, $50 more than the 16 Plus.
The price increases are reportedly linked to U.S. trade tariffs on China and India, which continue to impact Apple’s production costs. Apple has not yet confirmed these figures, but the consistency across leaks suggests they may be accurate.
As for features, the iPhone 17 series is expected to bring a redesigned camera layout, especially on the back, possibly adopting a horizontal pill-shaped design similar to Google Pixel phones. The iPhone 17 Air will be Apple’s thinnest phone ever, with a single 48MP rear camera and a sleek, minimalist build. Enhanced MagSafe charging, a faster A19 chip, and design tweaks to the Dynamic Island are also expected across the lineup.
The iPhone 17 Air, despite its thinner body, will offer limited features compared to the Pro models — but its unique design could make it a standout choice for users prioritizing aesthetics over high-end specs.
