LAHORE: At least 15 Daesh fighters were killed in three US drone attacks near the Pak-Afghan border in Afghanistan on Sunday, sources told a local TV channel. Drone attacks targeted four terrorists hideout in Nangarhar province which left six fighters injured, according to the channel. On October 17, carrying the bombardment by US drone strikes, about 31 people had killed and 12 others sustained injuries in three drone attacks. Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif had remarked that the following US drone attacks could be undermined the peace talk with Afghan-Taliban. He had said that US should restrict such kind of attacks both in Pakistan and Afghanistan’s territories. Causalities in October Following US air strikes targeted the “key” commander of the Taliban identified as Maqbool Dawar, his brother, Murad Ali and two other fighters were killed in Khost province, Anadolu Agency reported. In another air strike, hit a 300 gathering of the Taliban in which scores of fighters were claimed, local government officials had said. According to Bureau of Investigative Journalism, around 264 Taliban insurgents have been killed since last month in various parts of Afghanistan.
