Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has described Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s interview with Karan Thapar as a significant diplomatic achievement for Pakistan.
In his statement, Sindh Senior Minister and Provincial Minister for Information, Transport, and Mass Transit, Sharjeel Inam Memon said that Bilawal Bhutto is not only a symbol of young leadership but is also emerging as a respected global voice for Pakistan. The confidence, foresight, and sagacity with which he has spoken Pakistan’s stance on a very sensitive issue like terrorism at the international forum are commendable.
Sharjeel Inam Memon has said that to engage in such a manner with so much authority in front of a gritty and seasoned journalist like Karan Thapar, and put him on the back foot, is a candid admission of Bilawal Bhutto’s political maturity and diplomatic acumen. Throughout the interview, Karan Thapar appeared repeatedly confused and unsettled, while Bilawal Bhutto remained articulate, composed, and clear-headed.
He said that Karan Thapar is the same journalist during whose interview Narendra Modi had once removed his microphone, and today, Chairman Bilawal not only stood his ground in front of him but also successfully turned the tide of the conversation in his favor. This interview was not merely an exchange of words but a powerful diplomatic representation of Pakistan, something that is urgently needed in today’s global context.
Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said that Bilawal Bhutto is not merely a politician but the inheritor of the political and ideological legacy of three generations. The leadership of the PPP does not engage in politics for temporary popularity; it has consistently advanced with a deep awareness of history.
He said that Chairman Bilawal’s interview was a reflection of political maturity, ideological depth, and thorough preparation. It was not a media drama show, but a holistic exposition of Pakistan’s history, stance, and vision.
Sharjeel Inam Memon said the PPP’s policy on sensitive issues such as terrorism, Kashmir, and India was always clear-cut and principled. The party has consistently resisted terrorism at all levels, and its leadership has made significant sacrifices in this struggle.
He said that when Bilawal speaks, he speaks not merely as an individual, but as the voice of an ideology, a rich history, and the struggle of the people. Chairman Bilawal Bhutto has convincingly shown the world that Pakistan is not conducting its foreign policy from a position of defensiveness, but through reason, principles, and a firm grounding in historical context.
He further said that the PPP’s stance on key issues such as trade with India, the gas pipeline project, and the Kashmir dispute has always been rooted in national interest and democratic principles. Bhuttoism is not merely a slogan, it is a comprehensive political, social, and economic ideology, and today, Bilawal Bhutto is emerging as a true continuation of that legacy.
