WhatsApp business gets smarter with AI and voice calling

Meta has introduced new features for WhatsApp Business users, aiming to make business communication smarter and more efficient. The latest updates include voice calling and AI-powered automated chats and product recommendations. These tools are designed to help companies connect with customers more effectively and conveniently.

According to a leading tech website, Meta announced these features at the “Conversations 2025” event in Miami. Two major updates were launched for the WhatsApp Business platform. Now, large businesses using the WhatsApp Business API can offer a call-back feature. Customers can call, and businesses can respond with a return call. Voice notes can also be added to business messages.

This new call-back and voice note feature is especially helpful in sectors like healthcare, finance, and travel. It allows for faster and more direct communication. In addition, companies can set up AI voice agents using platforms like Koala, Yellow.ai, and Phonic. These agents can handle customer conversations automatically.

Meta also introduced AI-based product recommendation tools. These tools suggest products based on customer interests, making the shopping experience on WhatsApp smoother. Customers can now explore and buy products directly in the app. This is expected to boost online sales and customer satisfaction.

Moreover, Meta has upgraded its Ads Manager. Now, businesses can run campaigns on WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram from one platform. The AI tools will also help automatically set the budget and optimize campaigns. With these updates, WhatsApp Business is no longer just a messaging app but a full business communication hub combining calls, chats, ads, and shopping.
