Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said that India is fully responsible for the rising tensions in the region. During a meeting with U.S. Acting Ambassador Natalie Baker, he stated that India’s recent drone attacks violated international laws and directly targeted civilian areas in Pakistan. He emphasized that Pakistan successfully shot down dozens of drones in response.
Naqvi warned that the entire region now stands at the edge of war due to India’s reckless actions. He assured the U.S. diplomat that Pakistan will not allow its national security to be compromised under any circumstances. The minister also called India’s tactics provocative and destabilizing.
The two officials discussed not only the border situation but also the need for joint global efforts to combat terrorism. Naqvi stressed the importance of international cooperation and responsible diplomacy to maintain regional peace.
