LAHORE: A three-member delegation of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) is arriving in Lahore today (Monday). Led by APHC Chairman Mirwaiz Umer Farooq, the delegation includes APHC’s Executive Members Professor Abdul Ghani Butt and Bilal Ghani Lone. The delegation will meet a number of leaders during its six-day visit, including President Pervez Musharraf, Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri. The APHC chairman said on Sunday that the delegation will discuss in detail a number of issues with the leaders during its visit, and hoped that the discussions will prove fruitful in the run-up to the next phase of the Pakistan-India composite dialogue. Mirwaiz said that the main objective of the visit is to convey the Kashmiris’ solidarity with the people affected by the October 8 earthquake. He said that the delegation will also carry with it relief goods for the affected people. The APHC chairman said that the delegation will hold talks with the leadership of the United Jihad Council on Kashmir.
