LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif Friday said that Pakistan-Turkish relations were turning into sustainable economic cooperation during the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)-led government. The CM expressed these remarks during a meeting with a delegation of Turkish investors. The delegation expressed its keen interest in investing in different sectors of Punjab, especially water and housing sectors. Talking to the delegation, the CM said that Turkey had made progress by leaps and bounds under President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Pakistan was enjoying good relations with Turkey in different sectors. He said that government of Pakistan was providing appropriate environment for investment and many Turkish companies were already investing in different areas of the country which was a welcoming step. The Punjab government, he said, was trying to improve organisational structure of the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) in big cities and added that structure and capacity building of WASA would substantially improve its efficiency.
