KARACHI – Confessing before the joint investigation team (JIT) of interrogators, Lyari gang war leader Uzair Baloch said that former Pakistan People’s Party lawmaker Qadir Patel ordered him to kill Razzaq Commando. “However, Jalil came his way instead of Razzaq. And, Patel ordered me to kill him, too,” a private TV channel reported. He also revealed that he occupied and seized farmhouses and lands as per direction of some important personalities. During interrogation, Uzair told that important people directed him to kill Ghaffar Zikri but he refused to do so. He confessed that he appointed one superintendent of police and 15 station house officers’ (SHO) and used to take 10 per cent of every deal in Lyari and other areas. Uzair Baloch said that extorted money was collected by Ustad Taju who has escaped abroad. He also confessed that Lyari operation started after he refused not to work for a key personality.
