Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty managed to shock the entire hall present at the Oscars with their mistaken announcement, that ‘La La Land’ had won the Best Picture award, whereas, the actual winner was ‘Moonlight’. Beatty and Dunaway were handed the wrong envelop in which it was written ‘Emma Stone for La La Land’. While the ‘La La Land’ team reached for the stage to accept their award and started giving their acceptance speech, the authority came forward to inform them that they had the wrong envelop and that ‘Moonlight’ had won the Oscars. The sudden and unexpected revelation received a massive outburst from the audience, where the ‘Moonlight’ team embraced one another and cried while audience gave a standing ovation. Most of the celebrities just stood in a shock, trying to contemplate that ‘what just happened?’ Twitter was flooded with tweets by both fans and the celebrities however, seeing celebrities’ reaction to such a blunder at the Oscar was beyond amusing.
