Sir: According to news reports that appeared in different sections of press, Muhammad Bello Masaba died on Saturday in Niger at the age of 93. The main characteristic of Masaba was his numerous wives. He had 86 wives and over 200 children. All his wives were around him at the time of death. His life is iconic in the sense that he married so many women and kept them amicably till end of his life. The story appears to be magical but it is true. Good morals unite people; especially traits like decency, tolerance, perseverance, kindness, & fortitude help in strengthening the bond among people. In our country it becomes rather hellish to stay among two or more wives but in other parts of world things are different and Masaba stands testimony to it. Although, this news has been taken in lighter mood but it teaches us the lesson of harmony in relations that helps in stabilising and integrating the family which is a prerequisite for a healthy society.
