Sir: It is a good sign that the prices of POL products have been reduced drastically by the government. Now there is a need to adopt fuel saving measures. This is very necessary. By adopting fuel saving measures, we can help improve our economy as well as our daily use expenditure. The money thus saved through lesser POL products consumption would help save for a rainy day and spend some more money on the welfare of our families. Quite obviously, commuters are happy over continuous reduction in the POL products prices but it is very difficult to predict whether this would persist for another couple of months or not. The trend in the international market, on which basis POL prices are periodically reviewed, could take a turn around and prices can go up again any time. Needless to stress that even if the POL products were further reduced or revised upward, the adoption of fuel saving measures at the earliest possible would help motorists to offset the impact on their expenses quite easily. Be wise and adopt fuel saving measures and save money for a rainy day. Saving of money through lesser fuel consumption in vehicles or any other means is something good and worth appreciation by anyone. EHSAN UL HAQ Lahore
