PESHAWAR: The workers of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) took out an anti-corruption rally in Peshawar district prior to setting out for Raiwand March likely to be held on 30 September. Provincial Assembly members, district and tehsil councilors, supporters and workers of the party joined the rally and raised slogans against the federal government over its offshore companies in abroad to evade taxes in the country. The anti-corruption rally was started from the Hashtnagari area and concluded in Chowk Yadgar Bazaar of the Peshawar. Most vocal among the rally, against the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) corruption, MPA Yaseen Khalil was leading the rally. Yaseen Khalil claimed that the caravan consist of PTI youth wing, women wing, provincial assembly lawmakers, district and tehsil councils representatives, supporters and workers of the party will start its journey toward Lahore on September 29. He said the workers will assemble properly to join Raiwand March in Lahore next day on the 30th September. “Had the workers of the PML-N attempt to sabotage the Raiwand March the consequences would have been dire for the provincial government of Punjab”, he said. Large number of female workers and representative of the women wing from PTI were also present in the rally raising slogans against the federal government.
