PESHAWAR: Qaumi Watan Party Chairman, Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao, has said that the victimisation and deprivation of Pukhtoons rights had undermined their status and aggravated the problems which was not acceptable at any cost. This he said this while addressing a press conference at Umarzai Charsadda wherein ex-Nazim Umarzai, Aashiq Ali Khan, along with a number of his supporters joined the Qaumi Watan Party. He said that the Pukhtoons had been targeted in the name of security and under the garb of administrative actions. He said that the discrimination treatment had been meted out to them in Punjab and Sindh as if they were not the citizens of this country. He said that the QWP had taken up the blockade issue of the CNICs. However, the government had been taking a measues at a snail’s pace which delayed the resolution of the issue. He continued that 90 % blockade of CNIC holders belonged to Pukhtoons which created untold problems. He said that if the blockade issue was not solved within a couple of months it would be a deprivation of the Pukhtoons from the right of franchise in the next elections.
