PESHAWAR: The Frontier Works Organization (FWO) seeking government approval to establish a mega cements plant in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) to cater the need of emerging infrastructure requirements in the view of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) implementation in the region. According to an official handout the FWO has held a consultative meeting with provincial government under the leadership of Minister for labor and Mines Anisazaib Tahirkheli here on Thursday at Peshawar. The FWO representatives expressed intention to install a mega plant of cement in the area of Haripur in order to get advantage of raw Lime stone pool for the construction purpose. However the provincial government after a proper feasibility report would ink agreement with FWO and issued directives to department concern to submit the report in a day. Anisazaib Tahirkheli welcomes the move of the FWO and said that the current flow of investment show the rich capacity for the province. She said that natural resources of the province to be used for the development purpose of the province and provincial government encourage the investors to get advantage of the lenient policies of the province. Secretary Mines Development Syed Zahirul Islam Shah, Director General Mining Syed Muhammad Shah, Fazal-i-Wahid and others were also present in the meeting. Syed Zahirul Islam Shah said that the department of Mining that the importance of provincial mining has increased manifold after the CPEC projects.
