PESHAWAR: The Provincial Minister for Elementary & Secondary Education Mohammad Atif Khan has criticized the previous government for its unprecedented corruption, plundering and looting the public money being the nationalist party of the province. Muhammad Atif Khan who is also additional secretary general of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) for KP lamented over the performance of the Awami National Party (ANP) for its corruption, an official handout said. He was addressing the newly joined families into PTI at Sawal Deer, Mardan that all successive government including ANP did nothing for the welfare of the province and concentrated over their foreign business. The statement said that the village council Nazim Jamil Bacha formally joined the PTI and expresses their views in favor of the party polices. “The people across the province joining PTI for meritocracy in the government policies democratic approach in the politics,” he maintained. Atif Khan said that the province has created opportunities for the youth employments and natural resources at the region increasing as the present government has largely concentrated over the development of the province instead of looting and plundering. The policies designed by the PTI chairman Imran Khan for the whole countries will be proven in shape of historical changes and people of all walk of life and politics rushing to join his team he added. Atif Khan shared with public that the province was bestowed with natural resources but lack of leadership they have always taken for granted and province was never advantaged. Deprivation of Pakhtuns: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Senior Minister for Irrigation and Social Welfare Sikandar Khan Sherpao termed the vital use of universities to pave way for eradication of miseries and decades old deprivation of the Pakhtun Nation. The Provincial minister said 40 years long international battle of vested interests not only affected the region but the same created depression in our nation that was why the modern education and research might serve as essential equipment for our new generation and the universities and scholars are main tools to evaluate this purpose. He formally inaugurated the work on the construction of irrigation channel and flood protection project at Swabi University new campus on Friday which would be completed with cost of Rs 19.7 million. The function was also attended by Vice Chancellor Dr Noor Jehan and other participants including Teachers, Students and People from different walks of life. Dr Noor Jehan said that national progress and development is dependent upon surplus energy resources, however, due to lack of modern education and technical backwardness, we could not explore our rich national resources for development. She called upon the youth to utilize their energies for getting modern knowledge and techniques and stressed for research oriented studies to compete the speedy development of international scenario.
