MARDAN: A six-year-old student of first-grade at a government school has been beaten up by teacher badly at the constituency of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Education Minister Muhammad Atif Khan in Mardan. Jamil, a resident of Toru Killi, brought his son, Aamir to Mardan Press Club on Friday and told journalists that his son missed the school for a day due to rain. He said when his son went to the Government Primary School Thekdari Killi the next day, the schoolteacher Abdur Rashid, who is also headmaster of the school, started beating him with a baton, leaving him injured. He said his son could not sleep in the night due to severe pain. He said after medical check up of his son, he filed a case against the teacher at Toru Police Station. However, District Education Officer Male suspended the teacher for three month after news viral at social media and TV channels.
