ISLAMABAD: Qamar Zaman Chaudhry, Chairman NAB has said that NAB is mandated to carry out Awareness and Prevention functions against corruption in pursuance of Section 33C of the National Accountability Ordinance (NAO). Under NAB’s awareness and prevention proactive media campaign across the country, NAB has been engaging different governmental, non-governmental organisations, civil society, media and other segments of society on its campaign of “SAY NO TO CORRUPTION” which has started yielding positive results. He that according to the feed back received from various segments of the society, NAB’s Awareness and Prevention campaign of “SAY NO TO CORRUPTION” had been effectively and positively highlighted in the print and electronic media throughout the country. He said that NAB’s effective and proactive awareness and prevention campaign will continue during 2016 in full swing. He said that NAB during 2015 has taken tremendous efforts under its Awareness and PreventionCampaign. The Chairman NAB has also said that NAB is committed to eradicate corruption from the country across the board by adopting a zero tolerance policy against corruption. He said that NAB’s anti-corruption campaign is carried widely for awareness and prevention of corruption which will continue in the year 2016. He added that NAB hoped that joint efforts of all stakeholders could collaborate to check corruption and corrupt practices with the help of all stakeholders, the civil society, the media and the people at large.
