ISLAMABAD: Under its donation-matching programme to support the legendary cause of late Abdul Sattar Edhi, Airblue has donated Rs 24 million to the Edhi Foundation. In a bid to be a socially responsible corporate entity, Airblue had launched the donation-matching programme, and collected donations from its valuable passengers with a promise to double the donation.Subsequently, Airblue raked in Rs 12 million with overwhelming support to passengers and doubled the amount as promised. In this connection, a small ceremony was held at the Edhi Foundation where Ariblue Director Cooperate (Planning and Marketing) Raheel Ahmed presented the cheque to Faisal Edhi on behalf of passengers and the management. Bilquees Edhi was also present on the occasion. Airblue has thanked its passengers for the trust they bestowed, and support for the cause.Since it started operations in 2004, Airblue has become one of the fastest growing airlines in Pakistan, which has been recognised for its quality services.
