A joint combing operation by army troops and police was conducted in Mandni tehsil of Charsadda. During the operation, huge cache of arms and ammunitions were recovered including SMGs and pistols. As many as 54 suspects, including 9 Afghans were apprehended. The individuals were taken by police the police to an undisclosed location for interrogation.

One Pakistani soldier was injured as terrorists fired from across the border in Mangrotai, South Waziristan Agency on Sunday. The injured soldier was evacuated to medical facility at Wana using a helicopter. Pakistan army troops effectively responded to the fire by targeting the terrorists’ suspected hideouts on Pak-Afg border.
