AJK government reshuffles senior bureaucracy, transfers several secretaries

The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government has reshuffled several senior bureaucrats, transferring and appointing secretaries across key departments to meet administrative requirements, according to an official notification issued on Thursday.

Under the changes announced by the Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD), Syed Shahid Mohiuddin Qadri was transferred from the post of Secretary for Kashmir Cause, Arts and Languages to serve as Secretary for Physical Planning and Housing.

Muhammad Shahid Ayub, previously Secretary for Presidential Affairs, was appointed Secretary for Food, while Ansar Yaqoob was moved from the Sports, Youth, Culture, Tourism and Archaeology Department to head the Higher Education Department.

Javed-ul-Hassan Javed was transferred from the Services and General Administration Department and appointed Secretary for Presidential Affairs.

Chaudhry Abdul Rehman, formerly Secretary for Higher Education, was appointed Secretary for Industries, Commerce and Printing Press.

Sardar Adnan Khursheed, who had been serving as Secretary for Industries and Commerce, was transferred to the Sports, Youth, Culture, Tourism and Archaeology Department. He was also assigned the additional charge of Secretary for Kashmir Cause, Arts and Languages until further orders.

The Services and General Administration Department issued separate notifications for all transfers and appointments. According to the official notification, the reshuffle was intended to improve administrative efficiency and strengthen the functioning of government departments.
