FCCU hosts leadership engagement on institutional effectiveness

Published on: June 23, 2026 10:17 AM

Forman Christian College (A Chartered University) proudly hosted “The Quality Compact: A National Leadership Engagement on Institutional Effectiveness,” a flagship initiative organized by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan.

Held under the theme “From Conformity to Ownership: Empowering Institutions, Building a Resilient Quality Ecosystem,” the event brought together nearly 100 distinguished participants from across the country’s higher education sector. The gathering included Vice Chancellors, Registrars, Deans, Quality Enhancement Cell Directors, and senior academic leaders representing more than 30 universities from across Pakistan.

The event was attended by Rector FCCU, Dr. Jonathan S. Addleton; Registrar FCCU, Dr. Nayer Fardows; and Director General, Quality Assurance Agency (HEC), Mr. Nasir Shah, whose presence underscored the importance of collaborative leadership in advancing quality enhancement across Pakistan’s higher education institutions. The interactive sessions were conducted by Deputy Director, Quality Assurance Agency (HEC), Mr. Agha Muhammad Raza, who engaged participants in discussions on building a sustainable culture of quality through institutional ownership and continuous improvement.

The National Leadership Engagement Series aims to foster a collaborative dialogue on strengthening institutional effectiveness by encouraging universities to move beyond compliance-driven quality assurance practices towards a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and sustainable excellence.

The event provided a valuable platform for institutional leaders to exchange best practices, reflect on emerging challenges in quality assurance, and explore innovative strategies for building resilient and future-ready higher education institutions. Discussions emphasized the importance of leadership commitment, institutional accountability, and stakeholder engagement in enhancing educational quality and governance.

By hosting this prestigious national forum, FCCU reaffirmed its commitment to academic excellence, institutional effectiveness, and collaborative leadership in advancing Pakistan’s higher education landscape. The university remains dedicated to supporting initiatives that promote quality enhancement, innovation, and the development of a robust and sustainable quality culture across higher education institutions.
