Mahrang Baloch life imprisonment

A court has sentenced Baloch Yakjehti Committee leaders Mahrang Baloch and Sibghatullah to life imprisonment in connection with the killing of a security official in Gwadar. The verdict was delivered by an Anti-Terrorism Court after legal proceedings related to the case. The Mahrang Baloch life imprisonment case has attracted significant public and political attention.

According to reports, the Anti-Terrorism Court handed down the life sentences in the case involving the killing of security officer Shaheed Shabbir Baloch. Mahrang Baloch and Sibghatullah participated in the proceedings through an online trial conducted from District Jail Quetta.

Following the verdict, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti described the decision as a reflection of the rule of law and the conclusion of a two-year legal process. In a statement shared on social media, he said justice had been served in the murder case of Shaheed Shabbir Baloch, who lost his life while performing his official duties.

The chief minister stated that the court’s decision demonstrated that there would be no leniency for those involved in violence or attacks on state officials. He added that individuals who target security personnel under the cover of peaceful protest cannot escape the reach of the law, and that the provincial government stands with the family of the slain officer.

Mir Sarfraz Bugti further emphasized that the sacrifice of Shaheed Shabbir Baloch would not be forgotten and that action against terrorists, their facilitators, and supporters would continue. The Mahrang Baloch life imprisonment case is being viewed by authorities as a significant development in the government’s efforts to enforce law and order in Balochistan.
