Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that ongoing unrest in Azad Jammu and Kashmir is damaging both the Kashmir cause and Pakistan’s international image. He warned that continued instability is creating space for hostile elements to exploit the situation. His remarks come amid rising political tensions and protests in the region.
Bilawal said the current situation is benefiting adversarial forces and alleged India-Israel nexus, which he claimed is taking advantage of the unrest. He urged all stakeholders to resolve disputes through peaceful and constitutional means. He stressed that political disagreements should not escalate into prolonged instability.
He appealed for an immediate end to protests and called for dialogue between all parties. Bilawal said political grievances must be addressed through democratic and legal channels. He reiterated that violence or disruption weakens the broader national and regional position.
The PPP chairman also said his party has demanded withdrawal of the early election schedule issued by the Election Commission. He added that efforts would be made to establish a Truth and Reconciliation Commission to address pending complaints. He said this mechanism could help resolve long-standing political issues in a structured way.
Separately, Bilawal commented on reported developments regarding a possible Iran-US agreement. He described the potential “Islamabad agreement” signing as a historic moment. He said global attention is increasingly focused on Pakistan’s diplomatic role in regional peace efforts.
