
An Abu Dhabi court has issued its verdict in a case involving the public humiliation of an individual, ordering the accused to pay financial penalties. The ruling highlights the seriousness with which authorities treat offenses related to public humiliation case incidents that harm a person’s dignity and reputation.
According to media reports, the court ordered the defendant to pay a fine of 20,000 dirhams. In addition, the accused was directed to pay 8,000 dirhams in compensation to the victim for the harm caused by the incident.
During the proceedings, the court noted that the defendant had insulted the victim in a public place. The judges observed that the act negatively affected the victim’s self-respect and damaged his standing within society.
The court emphasized that individuals have the right to protect their dignity and reputation. It stated that offensive behavior and verbal abuse in public settings can have serious personal and social consequences.
While delivering the judgment, the court declared that using abusive language that harms another person’s honor and reputation constitutes a criminal offense. The decision serves as a reminder that the public humiliation case reflects the legal system’s commitment to protecting personal dignity and social respect.
