Field Marshal declares relentless terror fight

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to defeating terrorism with full national determination. He addressed a military awards ceremony attended by senior Pakistan Army officers and personnel. Moreover, he honoured martyrs’ families, serving soldiers, and officers for their sacrifices and bravery.

The Inter-Services Public Relations said the ceremony recognized extraordinary military services and sacrifices. Field Marshal Munir presented awards to families of martyrs and decorated serving personnel during the event. Furthermore, he praised the courage, patience, and resilience shown by the families of fallen soldiers. He said the nation owed its peace and security to the sacrifices of martyrs.

Field Marshal Munir also appreciated the operational readiness of the Pakistan Army and law-enforcement agencies. He stated that security forces remained committed to protecting the country from terrorism and instability. In addition, he vowed that anti-terror operations would continue until lasting peace and stability were achieved nationwide. He stressed that national unity remained essential for defeating terrorism permanently.

According to the ISPR, the ceremony included the conferment of several prestigious military honours. Authorities awarded 50 Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military) medals and 12 Tamgha-e-Basalat awards during the event. Meanwhile, families of martyrs received posthumous awards on behalf of their loved ones. The ceremony highlighted the sacrifices made by soldiers defending Pakistan’s security and sovereignty.

Field Marshal Munir described martyrs and war veterans as the pride of the nation. He said their sacrifices strengthened the country’s determination against terrorism and threats to peace. Finally, he assured the nation that Pakistan’s armed forces would continue safeguarding national stability with unwavering commitment.
