Former senator Taj Afridi dies in motorway accident

Former Senator Taj Afridi passed away in a car accident on M-1 Motorway near the Colonel Sher Khan Interchange on Friday. According to Motorway Police, Taj Afridi was traveling from Islamabad to Peshawar when his vehicle was involved in an accident. He died at the scene, while the driver sustained minor injuries. Motorway Police said the accident was reportedly caused by a technical fault in the vehicle. Emergency response teams reached the site immediately and carried out rescue operations. The Motorway Police confirmed that the incident occurred near the Colonel Sher Khan Interchange and prompt assistance was provided following the crash.
