A Dubai based budget airline has suspended its flights operations to Lahore, Islamabad and Peshawar until October 26, 2026, citing operational reasons.

According to UAE authorities, the low-cost carrier has temporarily halted services to the three major Pakistani cities, affecting passengers who had booked flights on these routes. The airline did not provide further details regarding the nature of the operational challenges behind the suspension.
Flydubai has suspended daily services to Lahore, Islamabad and Peshawar for ‘operational reasons’.
Connections to the three Pakistan cities have been affected, while services to Karachi, Faisalabad, Quetta, Sialkot and Multan remain unchanged.

Despite the route cancellations, flights from the United Arab Emirates to several other Pakistani cities will continue as scheduled. Authorities confirmed that services to Karachi, Sialkot, Multan, Faisalabad and Quetta remain fully operational, ensuring connectivity between the two countries on alternative routes.
Officials said passengers impacted by the suspension are being offered refunds, while those wishing to continue their travel plans can avail rebooking options on alternative airlines. The move is aimed at minimising inconvenience for travellers, particularly those with urgent travel commitments.
The temporary suspension comes months after regional air traffic operations were disrupted following the Iran conflict, which affected aviation routes and operational planning across the Gulf region.
Aviation authorities also noted a significant decline in passenger activity at Dubai Airport, where traveller numbers reportedly dropped by 66 per cent in March compared to previous periods. Industry observers believe the broader regional instability and operational adjustments have contributed to shifting airline schedules and route priorities.
While the suspension may create short-term challenges for passengers travelling to northern Pakistan, officials emphasised that other UAE airlines are continuing their Pakistan operations without interruption.
Travellers holding tickets for Lahore, Islamabad and Peshawar have been advised to check directly with the airline or their booking agents for updated travel arrangements, refund procedures or rebooking assistance.
