In an official statement, IRIB said that no Iranian team—whether primary, secondary, or exploratory—has been dispatched to Islamabad. The clarification comes amid heightened regional attention surrounding possible diplomatic engagements between Tehran and Washington.

Earlier, Mohammad Baqer Ghalibaf, Speaker of Iran’s Parliament, reiterated Tehran’s firm stance against holding negotiations under pressure. In a statement shared on social media, he criticized Donald Trump, accusing him of pursuing unrealistic objectives through coercive tactics.

Ghalibaf stated that attempts to impose a siege and violate a ceasefire are aimed at turning negotiations into what he described as a “table of surrender.” He emphasized that Iran would not engage in talks conducted under threats, adding that the country has prepared to respond decisively in recent weeks.

The developments come as uncertainty surrounds the next round of potential talks between Iran and the United States. Tensions have escalated following reports of renewed US naval activity in the region. According to Iranian officials, a recent incident in the Sea of Oman involved a US Navy action against an Iranian merchant vessel, which Tehran has termed a violation of maritime norms and the existing ceasefire understanding.

Iran’s military has maintained that its defensive posture remains active and that it is fully prepared to respond to any further escalation. Officials have also expressed confidence in the country’s strategic and operational capabilities. The situation continues to evolve, with diplomatic prospects remaining unclear.
