
The United States claimed a decisive military victory over Iran after a 38-day operation. Officials said the campaign forced Iran to seek a ceasefire and reduced regional threats. The development impacts global security, Middle East stability, and international shipping routes.
US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said the operation, named “Epic Fury,” achieved historic success with limited force. He credited President Donald Trump for leading a strong and effective military strategy. According to Hegseth, the US used only 10 percent of its military power during the campaign.

He stated that US forces destroyed Iran’s weapons factories, air force assets, and naval systems. Moreover, he claimed that hundreds of Iranian missiles were intercepted before reaching targets. He also said Iran’s ballistic missile program suffered severe damage during the operation.
Meanwhile, Joint Chiefs Chairman General Dan Kane confirmed that 13 US soldiers were killed and 520 were injured. He described a major rescue mission involving 155 aircraft that safely recovered a downed pilot. Additionally, he said US forces destroyed stranded aircraft to protect sensitive technology.
