According to the board, the English paper will be conducted on March 30, 2026, along with other Punjab boards, in two shifts across designated examination centres. The release of the model paper is aimed at helping students better understand the structure and marking scheme of the exam as they finalise their preparation.
The paper will be divided into two main sections: objective and subjective. The objective section will consist of 19 multiple-choice questions, carrying a total of 19 marks. Students will be given 20 minutes to complete this portion, requiring quick recall and accuracy.
The subjective section will carry 56 marks and include seven questions. Candidates will have two hours and ten minutes to attempt this part of the paper. The questions are expected to assess students’ comprehension, grammar, writing skills, and overall command of the English language.
Education officials said that model papers play a crucial role in familiarising students with exam formats, enabling them to manage time effectively during the actual test. Teachers have also encouraged students to practice using the model paper to identify weak areas and improve performance.
