
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held separate telephone conversations with leaders of Azerbaijan, Malaysia, and Uzbekistan on Friday, exchanging warm Eid-ul-Fitr greetings while emphasizing the urgent need for restraint and de-escalation in the Middle East.
During the call with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Shehbaz Sharif condemned recent attacks targeting Azerbaijan and reaffirmed Pakistan’s solidarity with its people, while both leaders prayed for unity within the Muslim Ummah and stressed dialogue to resolve conflicts.

In his conversation with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, the two leaders underscored the importance of peace and harmony across the Ummah, agreeing on the urgency of de-escalation and supporting diplomatic efforts to restore stability in the region.
The discussion with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev also highlighted regional tensions, with both sides reiterating that dialogue and diplomacy remain essential for conflict resolution, while reviewing bilateral ties and following up on key agreements from Mirziyoyev’s recent visit to Pakistan.

These calls followed Shehbaz Sharif’s earlier conversations with Türkiye’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Jordan’s King Abdullah II, focusing on the ongoing Middle East situation and the collective responsibility of Muslim nations to promote peace and stability.
Leaders across these countries emphasized cooperation and unity, stressing that sustained diplomatic engagement and timely follow-up on regional initiatives are crucial to prevent further escalation and strengthen long-term relations among Muslim nations.
