Pakistan’s security forces neutralised 13 militants during five intelligence-based operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations. The military media wing stated that these high-tempo, intelligence-driven actions targeted armed groups involved in destabilising activities along sensitive border regions.
The operations took place on March 6 and 7 under ongoing counterterrorism efforts. During the first operation in Bajaur District, security forces engaged militant positions, resulting in an intense exchange of fire that led to the elimination of five attackers.

In separate encounters in Bannu District and Dera Ismail Khan District, three more militants were killed. Furthermore, five additional suspects were neutralised during coordinated actions in Khyber District and South Waziristan, as forces continued clearing operations in the region.
Officials reported that weapons and ammunition were recovered from the slain militants, who were allegedly involved in multiple attacks. Moreover, authorities launched sanitisation operations to ensure no remaining threats persist, reinforcing the broader counterterrorism campaign conducted under the national strategy “Azm e Istehkam.”

The statement emphasized that security forces remain committed to defending the country’s borders while addressing emerging threats. These operations also align with ongoing measures targeting cross-border militancy, particularly along areas near Afghanistan, where Pakistan has faced rising security challenges in recent years.
In addition, officials highlighted continued counterterrorism efforts under broader initiatives aimed at dismantling militant networks and preventing foreign-sponsored activities. Security authorities reaffirmed their resolve to maintain pressure on extremist groups while protecting civilians and ensuring stability across vulnerable provinces.
