Operation Ghazab Lil-Haq: Pakistan strikes Afghan Taliban ammunition depot

Published on: March 2, 2026 3:24 PM

Pakistan’s armed forces successfully destroyed an ammunition depot in Khost, targeting Fitna al-Khwarij and the Afghan Taliban during Operation Ghazab Lil-Haq. The action was carried out in retaliation for unprovoked aggression along the Pak-Afghan border. Officials described the strikes as precise and highly effective, delivering a significant setback to the hostile groups’ operational capabilities in the region.

Security sources confirmed that the operation involved coordinated ground and aerial maneuvers, aimed at dismantling key Taliban and Fitna al-Khwarij infrastructure. The Pakistani forces ensured minimal collateral damage while striking the depot, reflecting a strategy focused on neutralizing threats efficiently. Authorities emphasized that these measures are part of ongoing efforts to safeguard national security and maintain stability along the border.

The retaliatory operation followed aggressive incursions by the Afghan Taliban, which violated the Pak-Afghan border and targeted Pakistani positions. Pakistan’s military response was swift, demonstrating readiness and strategic capability to counter cross-border attacks. Security analysts noted that Operation Ghazab Lil-Haq sends a strong message to hostile groups that any aggression will be met with decisive action.

Officials highlighted that Fitna al-Khwarij and Afghan Taliban suffered comprehensive setbacks on multiple fronts, with key supplies and ammunition being destroyed. The operation disrupted their ability to conduct further cross-border attacks and weakened their operational networks in the region. Pakistani forces remain on high alert to prevent retaliatory moves by these groups.

Authorities emphasized the importance of intelligence-led operations in ensuring mission success. Continuous monitoring, surveillance, and rapid-response mechanisms were key to identifying the depot and executing the strikes effectively. Pakistani military officials reiterated that national defense and border security remain a top priority in the ongoing regional conflict.

The military confirmed that Operation Ghazab Lil-Haq will continue until all threats along the Pak-Afghan border are neutralized. Officials assured that future operations will maintain a focus on precision, minimizing civilian impact while targeting militant infrastructure and personnel. Coordination with local intelligence sources remains integral to sustaining pressure on hostile elements.
