The law minister clarified that the treatment involved an injection rather than surgery, was successfully completed, and that Imran Khan’s health remains stable with no complications reported during or after the procedure.
Amid controversy, the PTI had claimed that neither the party leadership nor Imran’s family was informed about the medical treatment, raising concerns over transparency and access to healthcare for the former prime minister.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi questioned the quality of treatment at Pims, noting the hospital’s lack of a retina specialist, while Tarar emphasized that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had not restricted Imran’s access to doctors.
The minister also referenced past cases, including Rana Sanaullah’s arrest, to highlight that medical access during custody has historically been managed carefully, stressing that human rights and medical care are respected under current procedures.
