According to the department, the “Teaching Practice Analysis Form” app has been integrated with the Human Resource Management System (HRMS) portal to ensure systematic and transparent evaluation of teaching practices. Under the new system, teachers will be required to upload daily records of their classroom activities through the portal.

In addition to written submissions, teachers must also upload a short video of their classroom teaching, with the file size capped at 5MB. Education officials said the video component is intended to provide a more practical assessment of teaching methods, classroom engagement, and subject delivery.

The department said the initiative is part of broader efforts to digitally document teachers’ professional skills and raise education standards across public schools. Authorities believe the app will help identify strengths and gaps in teaching practices, allowing targeted training and support where needed.

Officials added that the system is designed to promote accountability while also helping teachers improve their instructional techniques through structured feedback. The move is expected to enhance transparency in performance evaluation and contribute to better learning outcomes for students.

Separately, the Punjab government recently approved a stipend package worth over Rs4.21 billion for college intern teachers, benefiting more than 8,000 interns across the province. The programme aims to provide young graduates and intermediate-level students with hands-on teaching experience in public colleges.

Under the scheme, intermediate-level interns will receive a monthly stipend of Rs55,000 for seven months, while BS-level interns will be paid Rs65,000 for ten months. Upon completion, interns will be awarded experience certificates to strengthen their professional credentials.
