
Punjab has launched a new E-Registration App to digitize civil registrations, allowing residents to register births, deaths, marriages, and divorces conveniently from home. The app aims to improve efficiency and transparency across the province.
Provincial Minister for Local Government Zeeshan Rafiq inaugurated the application, highlighting that it is fully integrated with NADRA’s national database. Once a record is entered, it is automatically updated, eliminating delays and ensuring accuracy for millions of citizens.

The app represents a major step in modernizing Punjab’s Civil Registration System. Zeeshan Rafiq explained that the collaboration between the Local Government Department and NADRA will also provide reliable demographic data for policy planning and governance.
Additionally, the E-Registration System is linked to Union Council offices across Punjab, enabling easy verification at the grassroots level. This integration ensures residents can access services quickly and reduces administrative errors during registration processes.
