
Pakistan have finalized their 15-member squad for the upcoming Cricket World Cup, sources confirmed on Wednesday. The selection includes key names and notable omissions. The final list follows extensive discussions by the selection committee.
Former captain Babar Azam has secured a place in the World Cup squad, sources said. However, wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan missed selection. Fast bowler Haris Rauf was also left out of the final 15.

Meanwhile, the squad features Salman Ali Agha, Sahibzada Farhan, Saim Ayub, Fakhar Zaman, and Shadab Khan. Khawaja Nafay has also been included to strengthen the batting lineup. These selections reflect a focus on balance and flexibility.
In the all-rounder department, Faheem Ashraf and Mohammad Nawaz earned selection. Spinner Abrar Ahmed will handle spin duties during the tournament. Additionally, Usman Khan has been named as part of the final squad.

Pakistan’s pace attack will be led by Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah, sources said. Usman Tariq and Salman Mirza add depth to the bowling unit. Meanwhile, Waseem Junior, Abdul Samad, and Hasan Ali were named in the reserves list as PCB prepares for an official announcement.
